TAKING AN ORGANIZATION'S MEASURE

Unless results and performance are measured, an organization's operations are at 50% efficiency, and likely much less.  At Enterprise and Community Support Company we use the slogan "Keeping Score" as a way to keep results and performance in the forefront of our minds and activities.

It takes a lot of time and enormous on-going effort to set up a good, honest scorekeeping system.  The large majority of organizations and companies do not even have the rudiments in place.  Any organization and any manager who is truly interested in the welfare of clients and customers should start and stay with the measurement of results.  After all, when everything is said and done is that not the true function of management?

ECSC and its affiliates are using an organizational results assessment process called "the BROOM" along with "Open Book Management", a system first developed at Springfield Remanufacturing Corporation that is now being implemented by many companies with much success.  The BROOM represents a starting point, while open book management establishes the maintenance system that is required if an organization is to function optimally.

If you would like additional information about the BROOM and open book management, please complete the following form.  We will respond as quickly as we can to your request, but please allow several weeks for our replies as we are trying to deal with the increasing demands on our time.
